Why do good actors have to spoil my image of them by talking about politics? I just read an interview with Toni Collete (who is a fine actress) where she talks about Michael Moore and (the evil) America:
"Thank God we've got Michael Moore," she said. "The news that somehow gets manipulated and filtered through to us lay people in the world is just so insular and, in America, certainly misleading a lot of the time.
"It's just so great to have someone with an opposing voice and with a true voice."
Um, somehow "true voice" and Michael Moore don`t quite go together. Stick to acting people! Whatever your views are!
Anyway, Dead Serious has an excellent piece about Sean Penn - go read him.
