Gay! I mean Yay for Connecticut. (Although it's frustrating that other 49 states do not recognize the Union - (even Vermont?) ) I'm actually of the belief that the state should be sanctioning civil unions for everyone and leaving the marriage part for private ceremonies.
Which leads me to the question - could i theoretically get a civil union with a man? You know, say i had a long term boyfriend i really liked and was itching for a bigger commitment . But he was all like - commitment phobic. Instead of whining how i think we should get married - i would be the "hip" girlfriend and bug him about a civil union. Or something.
