When I first read it I hoped it was a joke. Unfortunately it isn't. Andrew's Dad writes about Seattle Public School's Definition of Racism. Some highlights include:
*Only white people can be racist (defined "members of the agent racial group who have relatively more social power")
* some examples of "cultural racism" include "...defining white skin tones as nude or flesh colored, having a future time orientation, emphasizing individualism as opposed to a more collective ideology, defining one form of English as standard.."
You might be asking yourself what "future time orientation" means or how defining white skin as "nude"is racist. Well, I really can't help you there. I had the same reaction as Andrew's Dad:
What?!
