Baby Names
I'm not pregnant...yet. (haha, somehow this sentence sounded funny in my head - for my immediate family and my lovely wonderful boyfriend - I'M JUST MESSING WITH YOU.) Anyhoo, even though I not pregnant nor am I trying, (side not I hate the term "preggers" - makes it sound like instead of being pregnant, you are constantly ordering eggs or obsessed with breakfast food - why that is I have no idea) the topic of my (potential) future offspring has come up. I know I'm going to name my children after dead relatives, since this is the way of my people, we honor those that are no longer living. However, if I buck the tradition I would totally go with pretentious names from books I loved. Esme would definitely be up there. But then every time someone would write/say "For Esme" I feel like someone would inevitably say, "with love and squalor." I would kind of hate that. I also like the idea of the name Finn or Huck but not Huckleberry.
