I decided that I don't like listening to Leonard Cohen during the day. Especially if it's sunny. His music goes down easier at night.
I've never been a huge fan of the song Suzanne, it's alright but not as good as Lenny's other songs. One line there always strikes me as totally of the time "And she feeds you tea and oranges / that come all the way from China" - it sounded so exotic at the time. Now it sounds kind of depressive and slightly menacing. Like are those oranges safe to eat? Maybe they are poisned. China was exciting and sexy back in the 60's.
